Survey on EU migration policy
The stylistics of the questions are aimed at developing statistical thinking. The answers to the questions imply numbers. You can also add your comments. You can indicate relevance for each of the specific questions. For example, you can simply write: the question is inappropriate, I will not answer it. For each question, a possible answer is given to form the basis for your own answer.
Let's go!
Let's go!
- Please rate the importance of long-term forecasts in politics on a 10-point scale. In this case we are talking about a forecast for 30 years ahead. Is it important for you to understand the state of society in this perspective? Possible answer: 8 points, it is certainly important.
- Please tell me, how would you estimate the upper maximum limit for the number of refugees accepted per year for Germany? Possible answer: 1 million per year is quite acceptable.
- Based on your answer to the previous question (or on your intuition), estimate the national composition of the German population in the 30-year perspective. It is reasonable to take into account the positive population growth (high birth rate) among refugees and the negative growth of the local German population. Possible answer: in 2054 the population of Germany will amount to 100 million citizens, 50 million of them will be foreigners.
- On a 10-point scale, rate the importance of preserving German culture, identity and traditions in the long term. Possible answer: 6 points, it is important but not decisive.
- Rate the percentage of preservation of German culture, identity and traditions in Germany in a 30-year perspective in relation to the current date. Possible answer: 50% of cultural traditions will remain native German, 50% will be introduced by refugees.
- On a scale of 10, rate the importance of preserving Germany's gene pool. The gene pool is understood as the features of personality developed during the last tens of thousands of years of evolution and polished by centuries of life of the peoples of Europe. These are characteristic features of a face, features of thinking, behavior and average national intellect. Example answer: 3 points, I do not consider it particularly important.
- Estimate the percentage of preservation of the German gene pool in a 30-year perspective in relation to the current date. Possible answer: in 2054, 50% of the gene pool will remain native German, the rest will be introduced by foreigners.
- Based on public data or intuition, estimate the crime index in the following countries: Germany, Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria. Possible answer: 35, 46, 85, 76, 56, 65
- Rate on a 10-point scale the potential level of correlation between the crime index of refugees in Germany and the crime index of the population in their countries of origin. With 0 indicating no correlation at all and 10 indicating a complete correspondence. Possible answer: 0 points, crime is not related at all.
- Estimate, both as a percentage and in absolute numbers, the upper maximum limit of the budget that Germany can spend on the maintenance and integration of refugees, including deportation, border security and prison costs. Possible answer: 10% or about 40 billion €
- Estimate the potential average economic gain for Germany from accepting refugees over the next 30 years. Possible answer: over the next 30 years, refugees will on average bring in more than 30 billion euros. 30 years refugees will bring on average 60 billion € annually to the German economy. This would be a surplus for Germany.
- Evaluate on a scale of 10 the necessity of accepting refugees from countries where there is no war at the moment. These are all countries except Ukraine and Israel. Possible answer: 10 points. Warfare is not the main reason for accepting refugees.
- Estimate the percentage of economic refugees (in relation to the total number of refugees) arriving in Germany. This refers to refugees who came to Germany because of a decent (by their standards) financial allowance. Possible answer: 5%, almost no economic refugees.
- Rate your personal favorability towards economic refugees on a 10-point scale. 0 points - it is unacceptable and should be fought, 10 points - it is quite normal and there is nothing wrong with it.
- Estimate roughly the number of people in need of protection all over the world who could/should potentially be helped by the EU. Possible answer: 500 million people, these are people who suffer in countries with human rights violations or people below the poverty line.
- Estimate the possible annual flow of refugees for the whole EU based on the number of people in need (previous question) in a 30-year perspective. Possible answer: I think EU countries should accept up to 10-15 million refugees per year, otherwise it will not be possible to help everyone.
- Rate on a 10-point scale the possibility/necessity of local refugee assistance programs. What kind of assistance is meant? First of all, it is the transfer of basic technologies necessary for accelerated development. Such technologies include the Internet, education system, recycling technologies, technologies for building comfortable and efficient housing and infrastructure, organization and support of food production that meets the requirements of sustainable ecosystem development. Possible answer: 6 points, yes it can be done.
- Estimate, both as a percentage and in absolute numbers, the upper maximum limit of the budget that Germany can spend on a local refugee program. Possible answer: 2.5% or about 10 billion €
- Assess on a scale of 10 the possibility of redirecting budgetary funds from the refugee reception program to the local refugee program. In this case 0 points - the refugee program should not be cut in any way, 10 points - yes, all funds for the reception of refugees should be redirected to this program. Possible answer: 0 points, both areas should be supported without cutting either of them.
- Rate on a 10-point scale the need to support an increase in German citizens' own fertility. Possible answer: 7 points, it should be done.
- Rate on a 10-point scale the possible correlation between stable demographics in the country and the stability of its pension system. This means that there is no need to raise the retirement age and pension contributions. In this case, 10 points corresponds to full correlation. Possible answer: 8 points.
- Estimate, both as a percentage and in absolute numbers, the upper maximum limit of the budget that Germany can spend on a program to increase the birth rate of German citizens. This could be payments of 700€ per month for the third and fourth child in a family. Possible answer: 5% or about 20 billion €
- Evaluate on a 10-point scale the possibility of redirecting budgetary funds from the refugee program to the program of increasing the birth rate of German citizens. In this case, 0 points - the refugee program should not be cut in any way, 10 points - yes, all the funds for the reception of refugees should be directed to increasing the birth rate. Possible answer: 0 points, both directions should be supported without cutting either of them.
- Rate on a 10-point scale the necessity of considering average national intelligence in refugee admissions programs. Possible answer: the question is incorrect, everyone is equal, I do not want and will not discriminate against people.
- Based on open data or intuition, estimate the average national intelligence in the following countries: Germany, Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria. Possible answer: 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100. All are equal. Only racists can say otherwise.
- Based on your answer to the previous question and the question about the "national composition of the German population in a 30-year perspective" (question 3), estimate the possible average national intelligence of Germany in a 30-year perspective. Possible answer: 100. The intelligence will not change. And in general this question is out of place.
- Estimate, based on public data or intuition, the possible correlation between average national intelligence (ANI) and the political system in the country. Possible answer: the question is inappropriate. Another answer is: I think that if the NI is less than 90, democracy in this country is unlikely to be built (maintained).
Assessment of the overall quality of the questions:
- Rate on a 10-point scale the overall balance and relevance of the questions in this list. Possible answer: 7 points.
